We have made a small but important change to the way email notifications work in your account. In the past, you would receive an email when you changed or added something in the app. Since you were the one that added it, the email was nothing more than a confirmation that it worked. Therefore, you would probably just delete it from your inbox. We felt this was an unnecessary extra step so we removed it to save you time. Now if you are the author, you will no longer receive emails. Of course everyone else will still receive emails on records posted to the project, just not the author.
This change was just made, so after testing it out for a couple weeks let us know in the comments if you like it or not.
The Global Hours and Fees report was used to display the hours and fees by user. However, based on your feedback, we have just released an updated version of this report that now includes the following options:
These views were added as an additional filter and therefore you can still filter by a specific contact first. The first two options above display a summary by contact or project, whereas the ones which say "expanded" show the summary followed by the break out of the hours and fees for each project by user (as shown below) or the break out of the hours and fees for each user by project.
With these new enhancements, you can quickly see which projects and contacts have the most hours and fees logged and which projects need updating or are not as involved yet. This update was a direct result of feedback received by you. You can submit ideas or vote on existing requests from the suggestion forum.
In version 3.2, we've introduced HTML formatted emails. This includes all emails sent from Projecturf such as notifications, discussions, and Daily Progress Reports. With all the system emails formatted in HTML, they appear much cleaner and more presentable, which is very important when working with clients and colleagues. The emails are nicely laid out and easy to follow for improving communication. Below is an example of the newly formatted HTML emails.
However, we also offer the option to turn off HTML emails if you still wish to receive them in plain text. This can be done by going to the account section as described here.

Keeping track of upcoming deadlines, overdue tasks, and schedule changes across multiple projects and teams can be a daunting task. Using a simple project management software like Projecturf will centralize and track all the moving parts of your projects while keeping you organized and focused on getting things done. A critical part of staying informed and meeting deadlines also includes quick email notifications and project status updates. Therefore, to further enhance project tracking and make managing projects easier, we've introduced a daily progress email notifying you of important updates across all of your projects.
The Daily Progress Report is a nicely formatted HTML email displaying your new and completed tasks and tickets, overdue tasks, and upcoming events and tasks. Now you will be notified of what's due within the next week, upcoming meetings, and which items have been completed. You'll also see when new tasks or tickets are added and who created them. These emails will only show items based on your individual permissions. System admin will see these changes to all projects regardless of whether or not they are assigned to the project. I've included a partial screenshot here with an example of what the report looks like.
Now you have all your project updates available in one simple email. Having this information at your fingertips will ultimately results in greater productivity across project teams, easier communication, and quicker decision making. Everyone on the team will stay informed as each project progresses. To learn more about the Daily Progress Reports, visit the support center by clicking here.
In the Timecard section, you can now add fixed expenses along with individual time entries. These expenses can also be associated with a task or ticket similar to how your time entries are attached to tasks and tickets. This allows you to track and monitor all project expenses in one place and compare these expenses to your project budgets. Just select expense from the drop-down menu under Type to add a fixed expense.
Another enhancement just released is the ability to quickly filter the Timecards by date. This option is available from the global and project Timecard sections. You can easily view costs for a particular month or week and export the data based on the filters you set. To view a specific time period, click the filter option on the gray bar and select the date range.
These features were a direct result of feedback we received on our suggestion forum.
We've just released drag and drop functionality on the custom Gantt charts. Now you can update your project schedules by quickly dragging or resizing tasks and subtasks right in the Gantt chart. You can use the global Gantt chart to make changes across all of your projects in one place or use the project Gantt chart for updating a single project. Filters are included on the top of the chart in order to view specific time periods, only show tasks and subtasks for a specific user, and to add/remove subtasks. There are also several sorting options available when displaying the chart.

Projecturf version 3.2 was just released and is available to all new and existing customers. This update includes several major new features and enhancements that provide additional functionality and help improve efficiency by speeding up your workflow. This latest version includes the following:
These new features and enhancements were a direct result of feedback from you. Share ideas and vote on existing suggestions here: Projecturf suggestion box. We have added an enhancement that allows you to enter the project settings page with just one click. If you have a project open and need to make changes to the settings, simply click the icon on the right side of the project tab (as shown below). This will take you directly to the settings tab where you can add users, change permissions, set your project budgets, and more. This comes in handy when you need to make frequent changes to the project and easily navigate back and forth.
You can also enter the settings page from the Projects page using the actions panel to the right of the project name. This enhancement was a direct result of your feedback. To vote on ideas or request new functionality, visit our suggestion forum here.
We have vastly improved the process for replying to discussions from your email. When replying to a discussion, all you will need to do is hit reply, type your message, and click send. Since the emails now say "Add your reply above this line," everything you type will be included in the reply and post to your account for that discussion topic. You are no longer required to input your message in between the lines, which makes it as easy as replying to any other email. When adding a new discussion from Projecturf, the send email notifications checkbox (as shown below) must be checked to receive the emails. Everyone added to the discussion will receive all email replies.
We also redesigned our website and released it to the public on Friday, July 1st. The streamlined design offers a quick overview of our plans and simple sign up as well as a video demo of version 3.0, which is included on the Projecturf homepage. This new custom blog is also a major part of the release and provides a sleek design and quick navigation, which we have transitioned over from Wordpress.
