Email notifications

To turn off email notifications and start or stop receiving automated emails from a certain project, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Projecturf account
  2. Click the Global tab at the top
  3. Click the button called My Alerts to the right of the project in the actions panel
  4. Use the sliders to drag email alerts on or off for individual sections

Email alerts are project-based, so you may have different alerts for different projects according to your needs. Note that you will not receive your own email notifications, regardless of your email settings. To reduce the number of emails users get, authors will not be emailed about items they add or update.

Disable all email notifications for a project

Project managers can disable all email notifications for a project from the Project Settings page. When all email notifications are disabled, the My Alerts section is removed from the actions panel for all users since emails have been turned off at the project level. To disable email notifications, go to the Projects page and select settings to the right of the project name from the actions panel. On the left side under project settings, uncheck enable email notifications for this project and click save.

Set custom project template w/o email notifications

Admins can set a custom project template for all new projects, including enabling / disabling email notifications. Therefore, when new projects are added to the system they will have the default settings that were chosen. Note that all existing projects can be further modified from the project settings page and will not change based upon updates to the new project template. To customize new projects, go to Account - System Settings - Template. The changes made here will be the default settings for new projects and includes the options to enable or disable email notifications for all new projects. Be sure to click save when finished.
