Project templates
When adding a new project, type in the new project name and choose a project to duplicate from the drop down menu labeled Choose Template and select the date you want your project to start on. The following items will be copied over: all tasks and subtasks with the same permissions and responsibilities, calendar events with same permissions, contacts and contact groups, document folders, and project settings (excluding the due date). When selecting the current day to start the project, the project status will default to "In Progress." If you select a date in the future, the project status will default to "Not Started Yet."
The tasks, subtasks, and event dates will all be dynamically set based on the project start date. Additionally, any start date for a task / subtask / event that falls on a weekend will automatically be set to start on Monday if the original one did not start on the weekend. Your first task in the project will start on the project start date you selected and all other tasks will have the same duration from that first task as their start date. Here is a simple example: Your original project has two tasks that start Feb 1st and Feb 10th. On March 10th you copy that project and choose March 10th for the project to start. The new tasks now begin on March 10th and March 20th. All your copied tasks are reset based on this formula.
