The information we collect and how we use it

The Information You Provide To Us. In order for you to purchase the service via the Site, we may require you to provide us with certain information that personally identifies you. Such information may include your name, address, email address, credit card information and telephone number. We also collect information in our forums and through email communications. This information may also be used by us to verify your identity, notify you of related products and services offered via the Site, enhance our software and customer service, to bill you for the service offered via the Site and general statistics. We will not sell or share your personally identifiable information to any organizations or persons except under the following circumstances:

  • If we need to investigate illegal activities, suspected crime, or potential harm to any person in pursuant with the law or in violation of our Terms and Conditions.

Data Storage. We use outside vendors and hosting companies to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run our service. We retain full rights of ownership on our software, designs, code, databases and any other internally developed application to provide the service. You retain full rights of your data posted on the service.

User Submitted Information. Any personal information or content that you voluntarily disclose online (on discussion boards, chat areas, etc.) may become publicly available and can be collected and used by others. In addition, we may use this information and/or redistribute this information through the Internet and other media channels affiliated with this Site.

Choices for Personal Information. When you sign up for a particular service via the Site, we ask you to provide personal information. If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use. We will not collect or use your personal information for purposes other than those described in this Privacy Policy, unless we have obtained your prior consent.

Other Sites. At some point in the future, we may allow third parties to advertise on the Site. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the business and privacy practices of these other sites. Children’s Online Protection Act. The Site serves general users of the World Wide Web. We support and comply with the Children’s Online Protection Act (COPPA) and we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13, nor do we share such information with third parties. Children under the age of 18 may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Special Notification for California Residents. Users of the Site who reside in California and have provided their personal information to the Site may request information about our disclosures of certain categories of personal information (if any) to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Such requests must be submitted to us using the email address above. Within 30 days of receiving such a request, we will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties (if any) for third-party direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third parties.
